OUR VISION

Preparedness for conflict is not a yes or no equation. Everyone falls in a different place on the continuum of readiness. At one end are young children, incapable of protecting themselves; at the other end are members of elite special-forces. Most of us are somewhere in the middle. We can all take steps to better prepare ourselves for critical defensive situations. The values, tactics, and techniques of martial arts provide a good foundation upon which we can build an effective system of personal defense.

We do not believe in violence; however, we believe even less in being unprepared if violence is beset upon us. Without training, your only hope is to improvise an unpracticed solution to an imminent threat. Training at Colorado Martial Arts Center serves as a rehersal for solving threats. Your training can provide you with well practiced solutions to recognized problems. So, if facing down a threat, you can stand with confidence in your abilities to handle the situation.

  This bui

Our philosophy is founded upon fundamental principles of personal defense. We will focus on what you can do and not on what you can’t do, working within your physical capabilities and limitations. The goal of training is to develop the mental fortitude and physical skills needed to survive violent conflicts. Responses to threats need to be effective and efficient; they must present themselves naturally and spontaneously when the need arises. Your effort on the training floor leads to greater confidence in your ability to remain calm amidst the chaos. Peace through preparation!
